I would just like to say a big THANK YOU to you. Without people like you the average person hasn’t got a hope. I cannot believe how much "red tape" and how many ridiculous hurdles Council comes up with to try and make what should be a simple decision seem like a big issue.
I have told as many people as I know about how quickly you assisted us in getting the resolution we needed. I spoke to you late one Thursday afternoon about our predicament, you phoned back at 7.00pm that same day and had organised a meeting for the next day with Council and also arranged for the Mayor to be there (unbelievable).

I was making no progress dealing with council for the Development Application of our family home.
A friend of mine suggested that I talk to Sonya. Once Sonya knew my predicament she immediately knew what to do.
Sonya achieved more progress with council with one phone call than I had achieved in one year.

I want tell you in all sincerity, how grateful we are for your help and advice, this last week. You have probably saved us from walking away from this venture, to cut our losses, a scenario that we were genuinely on the verge of having to do. We simply could not go any further with the anticipated extra delay we were looking at.
We were demoralised and confused as to why we were the only Anytime Fitness Club in Australia to have any of the problems we faced.
The first decision that more neighbours had to be notified, a decision made at “one minute to midnight” before we were to get DA approval, hit us hard. As a direct result of this, we lost 55 members, and had a difficult time convincing others not to leave us, and go to join another gym. The franchise business model relies on these pre-sales to provide the boost to our working capital, and we were doing extremely well in this department. Then came the first delay, which took 2 months to resolve.
Then of course came this latest bad news of further delays and yet another round of neighbour notification-- the third one!
Everything is now with the Council Officers as requested.
And all for changes which not only have zero effect on neighbours, but are actually a patently obvious improvement! (not that the neighbours would ever be aware of this either. )
If it was not for your help, we know that we could well be be packing up and leaving, with very serious financial problems, being in an expensive lease as of nearly 2 months ago.
So Sonya, thank you for caring, thank you for achieving such a wonderful result for us.
